After many years in Scottish tourism I knew there was a better way of helping visitors get the most out of our beautiful country. The philosophy of some operators is to squeeze as many visitors on to a bus with a strict timetable and no flexibility. For many years I would hear from unsatisfied visitors who had spoken of being herded from one location to another with only a fleeting moment to enjoy each stop – not the way to be treated after making such an effort to visit Scotland. I knew there is a better way…
I created Hopscotch Travel to deliver personalised tours, crafted around your interests. Born and raised in Glasgow, Scotland means so much to me.
When Michael shared his vision for Hopscotch Travel, joining him was an easy decision. I've spent more than 30 years looking after customers, and if that's taught me anything, it's that people remember how you made them feel.
Everyone who makes the journey deserves to leave with the Scotland I know — the one full of stories, warmth and places you'd never find on a fixed itinerary.
That's exactly what we set out to do on every tour — travel at your pace, shaped around your interests, with a local guide who treats you like a friend visiting their home.
