Beginning with the iconic Forth Rail Bridge and ancient forests of Dunkeld, you’ll travel through the breathtaking Cairngorm National Park and historical sites across Inverness.

On your journey, you’ll get to see the beauty of Rogie Falls, Torridon, and the charming villages across the Scottish Highlands, such as Portree. From Fairy Pools to Dunvegan Castle, Eileen Donan Castle to Glencoe, this 5-day tour will show you the most famous landmarks of Scotland.

Itinerary

Day 1
Edinburgh to Inverness Unveiled
Forth Rail Bridge → The Hermitage → Pitlochry → Cairngorms National Park → Loch Morlich → Inverness

Day 1:
The first landmark you’ll see on this tour from Edinburgh is the Forth Rail Bridge – a marvel of modern construction.

From modern to historical, you’ll then get to explore Dunkeld’s ancient forests at The Hermitage, before enjoying lunch in charming village of Pitlochry.

Your private guide will then take you through Cairngorm National Park, as you get to experience the beauty of area from the comfort of your own luxury vehicle.

If time permits, you’ll be taken to Morlich and the Cairngorm Mountain Funicular railway, before ending your day in historical Inverness.

Day 2
Inverness and Loch Ness Exploration

Day 2:
On this day, you’ll continue exploring Scotland’s historical treasures and mysteries, including Clava Cairns, Culloden Battlefield, and the enigmatic Urquhart Castle on the mystical Loch Ness. Enjoy a boat trip on the loch to spot Nessie, before settling back in to Inverness.

  • The dramatic lochside ruins of Urquhart Castle, with a lunch stop in nearby Drumnadrochit

Day 3
Waterfalls, Mountains, and Tranquil Villages

Day 3:
On the third day, you’ll be taken to Rogie Falls before journeying through the remarkable scenery of Loch Torridon and the charming village of Applecross.

From here, you’ll be driven through the dramatic Bealach na Ba mountain pass with spectacular views all around.

Finally, you’ll arrive in the picturesque village of Plockton and conclude your day in the pretty village of Portree on the Isle of Skye.

There is much to see and do on the Isle of Skye. Depending on the weather, you can tailor this day to suit you, from exploring the enchanting Fairy Pools, to marvelling at the Old Man of Storr, Kilt Rock, Quiraing, or Neist Point.

Finally, you can visit historic Dunvegan Castle before returning to Portree for a restful overnight stay.

From here, your driver-guide will take you back through the dramatic landscapes of Glencoe, Glen Ogle and Callander and maybe an opportunity to feed a 'Hairy Coo' before returning to Edinburgh, leaving you with cherished memories of your time in Scotland.
