Which filming locations does this tour visit?

You'll visit a wonderful collection of Outlander locations, including Midhope Castle (Lallybroch), Blackness Castle, Linlithgow Palace (Wentworth Prison), Doune Castle (Castle Leoch) and the historic village of Culross (Cranesmuir).

Do I need to have watched the show to enjoy this tour?

There's no need. Devoted fans will love spotting the locations, but every stop is a genuine piece of Scottish history in its own right, so the tour is fascinating whether or not you've seen the series.

Can we go inside Lallybroch (Midhope Castle)?

Midhope Castle is a working farm, and it's best known for its exterior, the unmistakable face of Lallybroch and perfect for that all-important photo. Access to the inside can vary, so your guide will let you know what's possible on the day.

Can we take photographs at the locations?

Photography is very much encouraged. We also work with Outlander photographers who can, subject to availability, join you on your tour with period costumes to create magical memories of your day.

Is the tour suitable if not everyone in our group is a fan?

Definitely. The locations are some of Scotland's most beautiful and historic castles and villages, so even non-fans will enjoy a rich day of scenery and history while the fans relive their favourite moments.
