Privately Guided Multi Day Tour
10-Day Classic Scotland Private Tour
Overview
The complete Scotland, unhurried and entirely your own. Over ten flexible days, your private guide leads you through the very best the country has to offer — from the bustling harbour of Oban and the abbey-crowned isle of Iona to the brooding majesty of Glencoe, two unforgettable nights on the Isle of Skye, the legend of Loch Ness and the malt-rich glens of Speyside.
You’ll cross to three Hebridean islands, stand on famous battlefields, raise a dram in whisky country and end among the fairways of St Andrews and the ramparts of Stirling Castle. This is the definitive grand tour of Scotland — every iconic landscape, every great story, at a pace that lets you savour them all.
Itinerary
Days 1–2: Your grand tour begins with a personal pick-up from your Glasgow hotel and a short drive north to the bonnie banks of Loch Lomond, then west along Loch Fyne to the fairytale turrets of Inveraray Castle, seat of Clan Campbell. You’ll arrive in the Victorian harbour town of Oban — the ‘seafood capital of Scotland’ — in time for a relaxed waterfront lunch. The next day is given to the Hebrides: a ferry carries you to the Isle of Mull, with its colourful Tobermory harbour and clifftop Duart Castle, before a short crossing to the sacred Isle of Iona, where St Columba founded Scotland’s first Christian settlement and Iona Abbey still stands. You’ll return to Oban for the night, the salt air and sunset over the bay rounding off a magical introduction to the west coast.

A stop at Fort William, outdoor capital of the Highlands beneath the bulk of Ben Nevis, leads to the soaring Glenfinnan Viaduct, made famous by the Hogwarts Express, with a relaxed lunch along the way. The following day carries you to Eilean Donan, perhaps the most photographed castle in all of Scotland, set where three sea lochs meet, before you cross the bridge onto the Isle of Skye. The next day, you’ll bid farewell to the island and travel to the shores of Loch Ness, where the ruins of Urquhart Castle stand watch over the water and an optional cruise offers the chance to look for its legendary resident, before arriving in Inverness, the elegant capital of the Highlands.

The road continues into Speyside, heartland of Scotch whisky, where a visit to a celebrated distillery reveals how the region’s famous single malts are made, with a relaxed lunch along the way. You’ll then enter the Cairngorms National Park, Britain’s largest, a vast wilderness of ancient pine forest and mountain.
