Nestled in the centre of stunning Argyll, and only two hours away from Glasgow by car or train. Loch Awe is Scotland’s longest freshwater loch, spanning 25 miles through pristine, rugged and magical scenery. Loch Awe is rich culture and history, with its rocky shores, exposed hilltops, forested slopes, uninhabited islands, ruined castles and scattered quaint villages. Once a well-known Victoria getaway, the area drew nobility, many of whom built grand mansions along its banks, adding to the loch’s timeless charm.
