Kilt Rock is a magnificent cliff face on Skye’s Trotternish Peninsula whose basalt columns mimic a Scottish kilt’s pleats. Beside it is Mealt Falls, which is one of the most photographed locations in Skye, and plunges 60 meters straight into the sea. You can soak in and ejoy the expansive views across the Isle of Raasay and the mainland. Kilt Rock is a must see highlight of any Skye trip due to its breathtaking cliffs, tumbling waterfall and sea sound. It can be easily accesible from the car park or roadside viewpoint.
