Quiraing

The Quiraing is onle of the Isle of Skye’s most iconic landscapes with its striking cliffs, jagged rock formations and sweeping vistas of the Trotternish Ridge. The surreal landscape was created by ancient landslides and is a favourite with hikers, photographers, and nature lovers. The main walkign path is a two-hour circular route that offers constanly shifting views and a sense of Skye’s untouched, wild beauty. There is limited parking at the summit carpark, and visitors can reach the Quiraing via a narrow single-track road from Staffin or Uig. With the path being steep, rough and exposed to Skye’s unpredictable weather, sturdy footwear and waterproof clothing is recommended. Visits either early morning or late evening are ideal for quieter and magical lighting.
