Loch Lubnaig
Nestled between Ben Ledi and Ben Vorlich in what was formerly in the county of Perthshire, Loch Lubnaig is a small freshwater close to Callander in the Stirling council area. Located at the edge of the Scottish Highlands, this area, which is now part of the Loch Lomond and The Trosachs National Park, provides a peaceful setting surrounded by breathtaking scenery.

You'll find it in Stirlingshire, about 3 miles north of Callander on the A84 towards Killin and the Highlands. It's a long, narrow loch running through a wooded valley, with Ben Ledi rising to the west.
It's good for wild swimming, kayaking, cycling the Rob Roy Way, and picnicking at the lochside car parks. Expect far fewer people here than at Loch Lomond.
It's known for its scenery on the road north from Callander, a slender loch flanked by steep hillsides that hints at Highland character before you reach the Highlands proper.
It's about 50 miles north of Edinburgh, roughly 1 hour 10 minutes by car via the M9 and A84 through Callander.
